1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how BeMyLink (“BeMyLink,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, processes, stores, discloses, retains, and protects information in connection with the BeMyLink mobile application (the “App”).

BeMyLink is designed as a privacy-conscious personal organization tool that helps users turn ordinary screenshots of online content into organized saved cards with context such as title, category, source, and a possible return link.

We apply one strict privacy standard to all users, regardless of location. This policy is structured around a conservative California-style privacy framework, including notice at collection, clear data categories, retention, user rights, no sale, no cross-context behavioral advertising, sensitive content restrictions, and user controls.

This policy is intended for the BeMyLink mobile application. Additional products, including a website, WordPress plugin, Wix app, merchant dashboard, APIs, merchant analytics tools, or website-owner services may require additional or separate privacy notices and terms.
 

2. What BeMyLink Is - and Is Not

The App is intended only for ordinary, non-sensitive personal organization uses, such as saving products, inspiration, recipes, design references, events, travel ideas, educational references, or similar online content that a user wants to find again later.

The App is not designed, intended, or permitted to be used as:

  • A financial storage platform, banking tool, payment system, investment tool, credit tool, or tax record archive.

  • A medical, health, therapy, biometric, diagnosis, treatment, or health-record system.

  • A legal document archive, evidence vault, identity vault, password manager, secure document storage service, or government-record system.

  • A full photo backup service, full gallery scanner, surveillance tool, private chat archive, social-media monitoring tool, or communications archive.

  • A tool for storing, organizing, sharing, promoting, or preserving illegal, unsafe, explicit, violent, exploitative, or highly sensitive content.

Use of the App for sensitive, unsafe, illegal, or unsupported purposes is prohibited and may result in blocking, deletion, restriction, suspension, or other protective action.
 

3. Notice at Collection

At or before collection, we aim to tell users what information the App may process, why it is processed, whether it is sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, and how long it may be retained.

The App may process screenshots or screenshot-derived data only for the purpose of creating, organizing, displaying, improving, securing, and supporting saved items and related App features.

The App may automatically detect and process screenshots from the screenshots folder or screenshots area of a user’s device after the user grants the relevant device permission. Depending on the device, operating system, and permission setting, the App may detect existing screenshots during import or sync and may automatically detect newly taken screenshots without requiring the user to manually select each screenshot. Where the device offers full access or limited access options, the scope selected by the user affects how broadly the App can access device storage. Users may grant, limit, or revoke permissions through device settings. If permissions are revoked or limited, certain App features may not work or may be limited.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use saved screenshots to build third-party advertising profiles. We do not intentionally process sensitive screenshots for App functionality.

If push notifications are enabled in the future, the App may use push notification tokens to deliver App-related notifications. Push notification tokens will not be used for advertising purposes and may be managed through device notification settings.
 

4. Categories of Information We May Process

If BeMyLink offers paid features in the future, this policy will be updated before or at the time those features launch to reflect any additional billing-related data practices. Billing and subscription information may be processed only as necessary to provide paid features, manage entitlements, provide support, meet legal or tax obligations, and prevent fraud. Payments may be handled by app stores or third-party payment providers, and BeMyLink is not intended to receive full payment card details.
 

5. Screenshots, OCR, AI, and Automated Processing

The App may use automated technologies, including OCR, computer vision, rule-based detection, source detection, category detection, duplicate detection, and AI-assisted processing, to identify what an ordinary screenshot appears to contain and to create a saved item.

Screenshots may be detected automatically from the screenshots folder or area of the device after permissions are granted. This does not mean that every screenshot is intentionally submitted by the user. Users are responsible for their permission choices and for not intentionally submitting or retaining prohibited content. Because the App may automatically detect screenshots based on device permissions, users should review their saved items and delete any content they did not intend to save or that falls outside the App’s intended purpose. We also aim to detect and skip sensitive content automatically, though no automated filter is perfect.

Automated processing may be used to infer a title, category, source, product signal, website signal, possible return link, or other non-sensitive organizational context. The App is not designed to identify people, infer sensitive traits, make financial, legal, medical, employment, credit, insurance, housing, or similarly significant decisions, or create sensitive profiles.

Automated systems may be imperfect. They may misread text, identify the wrong source, assign an incorrect category, create an inaccurate title, fail to find a return link, or fail to detect that a screenshot is sensitive. Users should not rely on the App for important, sensitive, legal, financial, medical, emergency, or safety-related purposes.
 

6. Strict No-Touch Policy: Content We Do Not Intentionally Collect or Process

BeMyLink is designed to avoid, skip, block, or minimize processing of screenshots that appear to contain highly sensitive, unsafe, private, illegal, or unsupported content. The App is intended for ordinary online content, not private life records or sensitive documents.

The App is not intended to collect, process, store, display, organize, or preserve screenshots containing:

  • Government IDs, passports, driver licenses, visas, national ID cards, immigration documents, or identity verification documents.

  • Banking information, credit card details, payment credentials, account numbers, tax documents, salary slips, financial statements, investment records, insurance documents, or debt information.

  • Medical, health, mental health, therapy, prescription, test result, disability, biometric, genetic, or health insurance information.

  • Private chats, direct messages, emails, private communications, call logs, contact lists, private notes, or screenshots of conversations with other people.

  • Precise location records, home addresses, school addresses, real-time location, or other highly sensitive location information.

  • Children’s personal information, children’s images, school documents, child-related sensitive records, or content involving minors in a sensitive, unsafe, exploitative, sexual, violent, or harmful context.

  • Passwords, authentication codes, QR codes for login or payment, recovery phrases, crypto wallet keys, security credentials, or confidential access information.

  • Explicit sexual content, nudity, sexual exploitation, sexual services, or any sexual content involving minors or appearing to involve minors.

  • Weapons, explosives, instructions for harm, illegal substances, drug-related content, violent content, extremist content, terrorist content, or other unsafe or unlawful content.

  • Legal evidence, court documents, police reports, legal claims, confidential business information, trade secrets, or other content that should not be stored in a consumer screenshot organizer.

If the App’s automated systems detect signals that content may fall into a prohibited or highly sensitive category, we may skip it, block it, delete it, avoid creating a saved card, suppress OCR or image storage, store only a limited safety status, or take other protective measures.

No automated filter can guarantee perfect detection. Users must not intentionally use the App to save, keep, submit, process, retain, organize, or preserve prohibited, illegal, unsafe, or highly sensitive content. Because the App may automatically detect screenshots based on permissions granted by the user, responsibility is focused on permission choices, intentional use, continued retention, and deletion of any sensitive or prohibited content that appears in the App.
 

7. Prohibited User Conduct and Content

Users must not use the App to collect, store, process, organize, preserve, promote, transmit, or share content that is illegal, unsafe, exploitative, infringing, invasive, private, confidential, or outside the ordinary purpose of the App.

Users are responsible for choosing whether to grant or revoke device permissions, for using the App only for appropriate non-sensitive content, and for deleting any sensitive, private, illegal, unsafe, or prohibited content if it appears in the App. Users must not intentionally keep, organize, share, or continue using the App for content that violates this policy, another person’s rights, platform rules, or applicable laws.

8. Information We Do Not Sell or Share for Advertising

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share screenshot content, OCR text, saved item content, private item history, or user activity for third-party advertising profiles.

If this practice changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices, choices, opt-out mechanisms, and consents before engaging in such activity where required by applicable law.
 

9. How We Use Information

We may use information described in this policy to:

  • Create, organize, display, search, edit, delete, and manage saved cards.

  • Identify source, category, title, tags, duplicate items, and possible return links.

  • Operate, maintain, secure, debug, and improve the App.

  • Create aggregated or de-identified analytics for product improvement and service development.

  • Provide customer support and respond to privacy requests.

  • Prevent misuse, abuse, unlawful activity, unsafe content processing, fraud, security incidents, or violations of this policy or applicable terms.

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations, enforce rights, respond to lawful requests, or protect users, BeMyLink, and the public.

We do not use screenshot content to identify people, make sensitive inferences, or make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about a user.
 

10. Sources of Information

We may receive information from:

  • You, when you use the App, grant permissions, contact us, edit items, delete items, or submit a request.

  • Your device, based on the permissions you grant and the technical operation of the App.

  • Automated processing inside the App or our systems, including OCR, source detection, category detection, and AI-assisted processing.

  • Third-party AI and OCR processing providers, where applicable, when screenshots are analyzed for categorization, source detection, duplicate detection, and link detection.

  • Service providers that help us host, store, process, secure, analyze, debug, or support the App.
     

11. Service Providers and Disclosure of Information

We may disclose limited information to service providers or processors that help us operate the App, such as hosting providers, storage providers, cloud infrastructure, OCR or AI service providers, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, security tools, email/support tools, and similar vendors.

Service providers are required by contract or equivalent arrangement, to the extent technically and legally practicable, to use information only for the services they provide to us, and not for their own independent advertising, profiling, model training, or commercial purposes.

Where the App transmits screenshot data, OCR text, or screenshot-derived content to third-party AI or OCR service providers, we aim to use contractual terms, provider settings, or equivalent safeguards that limit those providers from retaining, using, or disclosing the information for purposes beyond providing services to us. BeMyLink does not sell or share such information for advertising. Users should avoid granting permissions or using the App for sensitive content, because third-party processing systems and automated filters may not be perfect.

We may also disclose information if needed to comply with law, enforce our rights, investigate misuse, respond to lawful requests, protect safety, prevent fraud, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or similar business transaction.
 

12. Data Minimization and Retention

We aim to collect and retain only information reasonably necessary for the App’s purposes. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, user choices, technical requirements, legal obligations, security needs, backup cycles, dispute needs, and whether the user deletes content.

As a general retention schedule:

  • Saved item data is generally retained until deleted by the user, the App installation is reset, a verified deletion request is completed, or the data is no longer appropriate to retain.

  • After a verified deletion request, we aim to delete or de-identify applicable active App data within 45 days, subject to backup, log, cache, security, legal, and technical limitations.

  • Crash logs and diagnostics are generally retained for up to 90 days unless longer retention is needed for security, legal, dispute, fraud prevention, or technical investigation purposes.

  • Usage analytics may be retained for up to 12 months and then deleted, aggregated, or de-identified unless longer retention is needed for security, legal, or dispute purposes.

  • Support and contact records may be retained for up to 24 months after the interaction closes, unless longer retention is needed for legal, security, accounting, dispute, or operational purposes.

  • Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained for longer when it no longer reasonably identifies a user.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove all copies from backups, logs, caches, or security records, but we will take reasonable steps to delete or isolate such information according to our retention and backup practices.
 

13. User Controls and Privacy Rights

We aim to provide meaningful privacy controls to all users. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request:

  • Access to personal information we maintain about you.

  • Deletion of personal information, subject to legal, security, technical, and operational exceptions.

  • Correction of inaccurate personal information.

  • Information about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, disclosures, and retention.

  • Portability or a copy of certain information, where technically feasible and legally required.

  • Restriction, limitation, or objection to certain processing, where applicable.

  • Information about whether personal information is sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Because the App may operate without mandatory account registration, we may not always be able to link a privacy request to specific data stored about you. When you submit a request, we will ask you to provide reasonable identifying information — such as your device type, approximate installation date, installation identifier if accessible, or other non-sensitive contextual details — to help us locate and verify relevant information. If we cannot reasonably verify your request or locate the relevant data, we will inform you and explain the limitation. We will not require you to provide sensitive personal information, government ID, payment data, or private communications to verify a standard privacy request.

14. Sensitive Personal Information

The App is not designed to collect or use sensitive personal information for App functionality. We do not intentionally use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about users. If sensitive content is detected or suspected by automated systems, we may block, skip, delete, minimize, or restrict processing.

To the extent sensitive personal information is incidentally processed, for example because it is encountered in a screenshot during detection or filtering, we do not use it to infer characteristics about users, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-context behavioral purposes. Users may request that we limit use of sensitive personal information associated with their device to only what is necessary to provide the services requested, where technically feasible and legally required.

Users must not intentionally use the App to save, retain, organize, or process sensitive personal information. If sensitive information appears in the App by mistake, users should delete it and may contact us to request assistance with deletion or removal where technically possible.
 

15. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 16. We do not sell or share personal information of users under 16. We do not knowingly allow users under 13 to access the App under any circumstances. If we learn that a user under 16 has used the App, we will take appropriate steps to limit or delete associated information.

Users must not use the App to store, process, organize, retain, or preserve sensitive content relating to children, including school documents, medical records, private images, identification documents, or unsafe child-related content.
 

16. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No system, application, network, transmission, storage system, OCR system, AI system, or cloud service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for using secure devices, protecting device access, maintaining updated software, managing device permissions, and avoiding intentional use of the App for sensitive, illegal, unsafe, or confidential content.
 

17. International Users

BeMyLink may process information using service providers or infrastructure located in different countries. Privacy laws may differ from country to country. We aim to apply a strict, privacy-first standard to all users, while also complying with applicable legal requirements where they apply.

Where information is transferred internationally to service providers in other countries, we aim to use appropriate legal mechanisms or contractual safeguards where required by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent arrangements. Depending on the destination country, the level of data protection may differ from that in your home jurisdiction.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable law and this policy.
 

18. Third-Party Sites, Stores, and Links

The App may help identify or open possible return links to third-party websites, stores, platforms, or services. BeMyLink does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their privacy practices, content, products, pricing, availability, accuracy, security, or terms. Opening a third-party link is subject to that third party’s own policies and terms.
 

19. Accuracy, Availability, and No Reliance on Saved Content

The App may generate titles, categories, sources, links, and other saved-item details automatically. These outputs may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, unavailable, or wrong. Products may sell out, prices may change, pages may disappear, links may fail, and categories may be incorrect.

In particular, return links or product URLs generated by the App are estimates derived from screenshot content and may point to incorrect products, outdated pages, different prices, sold-out items, or unrelated content. Users should always verify the destination of any link before completing a purchase or taking any action.

The App is a convenience tool only. It should not be used as the only copy of important information or relied on for legal, medical, financial, emergency, security, identity, tax, or other important decisions.
 

20. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the App, website, email, or another reasonable method. The updated policy will indicate the effective date.

For material changes that significantly expand how we collect, use, or share information — particularly changes to our no-sale or no-sharing commitments, sensitive information practices, or automated screenshot processing — we will aim to provide advance notice through the App or by email if you have provided contact information, and will seek consent where required by applicable law.

Continued use of the App after an update means the updated policy applies, unless applicable law requires a different form of notice or consent.
